Most recent turnings are found in gallery 5.

My name is Mick Hutchison. Welcome to my web page.  I would like to share my wood turnings with you. Since my retirement three years ago, wood turning has become a passion.  I turn pieces from one piece of wood, but my favorite is turning segmented pieces. The fun comes in cutting the segments and arranging them into designs.  I have been told that my designs have a southwestern flavor.  That seems strange as I am Scotch Irish and Arkansas is as far as I have lived west of the Mississippi River.

Each piece is signed and dated with the day it was turned.  The date identifies the bowl as I never turn more than I bowl in a day.

This bowl was made from Walnut, Maple, and Padauk.  I create my designs by using woods of different colors.  I never use stains or paint.  I like to compliment woods which are native to Arkansas with woods from other countries.

My newest work can be seen in galleryV, and will have new pieces added as the year progresses.  Work from last year is in galleryI.  Gallery III and IV contain earlier work.
